I was out on disability with my office job with lots of time on my hands. We have a friend that drives a race car at our local track and he and his wife were talking about having their number embroidered on some shirts and sweatshirts. Because I used to love to sew and do crafts before I went to work full-time, I thought it would be fun to get a home embroidery machine. From there, people saw my work and asked me to do more. My husband thought we could make it into a business, so we got a commercial embroidery machine, and added screen printing equipment, heat press and a digitial direct-to-garment printer. The rest is history! We've been in business for almost 3 years now. I've since left my office job and work full-time (and then some!) out of our home.

Default How I got into the business

Here's my story (only 3 months later): I was a nurse practitioner, and in the Air Force Reserve. I quit my job to take care of my mom and because I didn't want to work full time. Got my 20 years in the Reserve, retired and decided that I wanted to do something different. I've always sewn and did embroidery for fun (when I had the time), went to a seminar, got a PR 600 and off I went. We have a (now) 18 yo son and joyfully adopted a sweet darling girl from China (then 22 mo, now 4). So, I decided we could do this as a family affair (that part is still pending) out of our home. I love it! I'm getting ready to start advertizing and I'm lusting after a Tajima 2 head! I'm hooked!
